University Club, located just few minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, is owned by the University of Pittsburgh. It is an eight-story building designed by Henry Hornbostel and built in 1923 on the Pitt campus. The University of Pittsburgh conducted a $20.2 million renovation in 2005 of the site. It was reopened April 1th, 2009 to its faculty and staff, students and outside communities.
The site is the premier location for weddings, banquets and conferences and serves as a faculty club. Facilities including a first-floor Brioche Dorée French Café, banquet facilities on the second floor and various meetings rooms is accessible by public. The club provides professional conference services include a dedicated parking, audio/visual capabilities, high speed internet, ten customized conference or meeting rooms, and an additional space for registration.
