Minnamurra Bushcare

Webiste for the bush-loving residents of Minnamurra Avenue and Minnamurra Place, Pymble

This website is a work in progress. Please come and visit on a regular basis.

If you have any photographs of our creek before the Council works (with all the weeds) or of the Council people at work (puling down weeds, chopping down trees, planting seedlings, resurfacing the road) please let Heike at Number 32 know or email them to heikefabig at optusnet.com.au

 Bushcare for young and old!

The works - have a look at the creek before it was cleaned up, and at Council's work.

Time comparisons - pictures taken from the same spot over time give you a sense of the bushcare progress.

Minnamurra Bushcare is part of the Ku-ring-gai bushcare scheme, supported by Ku-ring-gai Council

Have a look at this amazing pool to pond project:

'Thousands of pool owners must be wondering what they can do with their backyard pool.  Water restrictions will get tougher making pools harder to maintain, maybe the kids have left home, the pool needs work or the idea of a micro-wetland in the backyard just sounds nice .... so - turn your pool into a pond!"

Confused about what is a native plant and what a weed? Hornsby Council published an excellent booklet to help identify lookalikes. You can buy it from their environment desk ($11) , or download it.
