Nearly half of the top 10 leading causes of death in the US - heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and stroke – are directly related to what we ingest on a daily basis; supporting the ideal that good nutrition is essential.  We are composed of the food we ingest.  Every cell in your body is a testimony to your eating habits.  Optimal nutrition can prevent disease, strengthen your immune system, and even support your brain functioning at an optimal level.  Inadequate nutrition has been linked to at least one third of all deaths in the United States, due to the secondary disease states that it can cause.  That is correct- 33% of all disease states are caused by poor nutritional intake. This is why MindTech Institute is dedicated to the education and implementation of a healthy eating lifestyle.  Each individual is evaluated using a Body Index Analysis which provides information concerning  basal metabolic rate, body composition, and hydration levels.  Blood tests are available to evaluate vitamin and mineral status. For individuals at risk for cardiovascular disease we offer testing  that evaluates high and low density lipids through Spectracell anayalsis.  A nutritional and exercise program is established on individual patient needs and goals.  If supplementation or pharmaceutical therapies are necessary, these are also prescribed.  Patient’s are expected to keep weekly journals that are supplied to record dietary intake, stress levels, supplementation and exercise information.  Our nutritionist reviews this information with each client, and correlates these and other additional factors with the clients’ eating habits.  A complete body analysis, gives us the ability to put a lifestyle program together that will allow our clients to master their body goals and achieve an optimal level of health.
