FEB.5.03 - A million thanks to our radio promoter and extra long time friend Mandy. She has been promoting the hell out of The Mimsies to college radio and we truly appreciate all her work and support. And to Maki at KXLU for inviting The Mimsies to perform a full set live last Monday night. FEB.3.03 - The Mimsies have a very special announcement to make. Guitarist Marcus Callahan, long time friend and fan of the band, has accepted our invitation to join The Mimsies. Marcus is a very talented guitarist and songwriter and we are extremely proud to have him as part of our group. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, freaks of all ages... The Mimsies are: Casey Castille on vocals, Jerod Vance on lead guitar, Marcus Callahan on rhythm guitar, Bryan Scott on bass guitar, and Adrian Barnardo on drums. Now that lineup is finally complete, The Mimsies are stronger than ever and are looking forward to a stellar 2003 and to the release of a new record this December. Also look out for a side project in the works called Radio Rental which will feature Marcus on guitar and vocals, Jerod on bass, and Bryan on drums. JAN.17.03 - Thanks to every one for coming out to the show at The Pretty Ugly Club. If you missed it... Damn, you really missed it. 2 months off and a back injury wasn't enough to stop Casey from dishing it out hard and heavy. Also, 272 Records has chosen The Mimsies' track "Vain Glory" for their upcoming compilation due out this March. JAN.1.03 - HAPPY NEW YEARS! Thanks to everyone who made 2002 a great year for The Mimsies. With everyone's help and support, 2003 will be just as great, if not better. We've got recording and touring plans in the works which will include a new record due out later this year, an eight week Spring tour that will kick off March 1st, and some shows in Paris and Madrid. We will be kicking off the new year with a show at The Pretty Ugly Club on January 15th and then 2 shows in Park City, January 20th and 24th, for the Backseat Conceptions Film Festival. |
