[copied and pasted from archive.org] DEC.3.02 - A final show of the year has just been added. The Mimsies will put 2002 to rest at The Martini Lounge in Hollywood on December 14th. We would like to thank our new friends Rob and Heather at Atlantic Pacific Entertainment. They booked this show and will be working with The Mimsies in the future. NOV.25.02 - The Rusty's Surf Ranch show has been cancelled due to 3 hairline fractures in one of Casey's vertebrae. It appears that Casey has thrown herself against one to many cement floors delivering the high-energy high-impact show that she is known for. She had been complaining of back pain since the last show at Studio 56 and after recently visiting the doctor found out what had happened. After a few weeks of rest and a few bottles of Vicatin, she'll be as good as new. NOV.5.02 - Where oh where to begin… First and foremost, many apologies for the lack of updates and news. The Mimsies are alive and kickin' and planning great things for the future. This Summer's Warped Tour was quite a success and The Mimsies would like to thank all the fans, Kevin Lyman, and everyone in production for making it all possible. We made a ton of new fans and friends, killed a deer with the RV, lost a drummer, and corrupted a driver. Not bad. Check the Photo page for some pictures of all the chaos. As many of you know, drummer Danny Martinez was arrested for stealing monkeys while on tour in San Francisco and will no longer be playing with The Mimsies. A victim of the Spinal Tap curse or of his own bad choices? You decide. Many, many thanks to Dave NG from Ten Times A Day who filled in for the remaining dates of the tour. The Mimsies have since enlisted Adrian Barnardo as their new drummer and partner in crime. And since he's Canadian, we won't have to worry about him stealing monkeys. The Mimsies are currently building a new Pro-tools studio up in Castaic, CA., writing new material for an upcoming record, and breaking in the new drummer. Lots of things are in the works including some shows in Paris and Madrid, the South by Southwest Music Conference, and a six week US Tour this Spring. Check back for more news soon... JUNE.6.02 - 10 days until Warped!!! The Mimsies have finally wrapped up the new EP, American Science, and are now focusing on filming a video for "Dirty" before they leave. It has been a crazy couple of months, but the train managed to stay on the tracks and now it's full steam ahead. A return to LA show is in the works for September 7th at Bar Sinister in Hollywood. We will do an all ages show at Buzz's in Norman, then a 21+ show at The Deli. Also planned is a performance in Wichita, KS for KRZZ's Powerzone Birthday Bash, May 10th at The Cotillion. APRIL.14. 02 - A quick thank you to everyone who has joined our street team! We really appreciate it. The buzz is growing and the Trash and Rock & Roll is spreading. Keep up the great work. APRIL. 10. 02 - The Mimsies will begin working on a new EP, April 20th, that will be ready just in time for the Warped Tour. At the controls will be none other than the multi-talented T-Bone Fairchild, alter-ego of video director Theron Farichild. The track list is looking like Dirty, Tennessee, American Science, Vn Glory, and Sweet Noose. MARCH. 2. 02 - The Mimsies have just finished shooting their first music video! The band, along with director Theron Fairchild, spent a cold and windy weekend in the California desert filming scenes for the upcoming video for the song No. 1. It should take about 3-4 weeks for Theron to edit it all together and then we will have it available on the website. Many thanks to Theron and the crew for all their hard work and for enduring the harsh weather. FEB. 20. 02 - Cash From Chaos… There comes a time in a bands life when all the business starts to get a little too heavy, and you find yourself answering the phones with Fuck off. It's easy for the pleasures of being a rock band to be overshadowed by the business of being a rock band. So for 12 shows only, we shall forget all about the business and let the blood, sweat, spit, and obscenities flow from our proverbial punk rock veins. Never mind The Mimsies, Here's Cash From Chaos. FEB. 5. 02 - After much thought and consideration, The Mimsies have parted ways with Stephen Depace Management. During our two year relationship with Stephen we have accomplished many things and we thank him for all of his tireless work and dedication. We will be looking for new management in the upcoming months. JAN. 19. 02 - The Mimsies have just confirmed their slot on the Warped Tour this Summer and will be riding high on the excitement for quite some time. We would like to thank Kevin Lyman a million times over for all his hard work and support which makes the Warped Tour possible for the bands and the fans every Summer. JAN. 9. 02 - Replacing The Mimsies' former drummer is Danny Martinez. Danny has been pounding the hell out of his Ludwigs for The Mimsies since September and now it is official. Danny is a very talented musician and songwriter who plays guitar, bass, piano, and drums. He fits the band like a glove, but more like a trashy tight leather mini-skirt with a pair of torn thigh-highs in a swinger's bar.
