We are so excited to have a four-day Bible conference this summer at the
downtown Civic Center in Peoria, IL. The theme of our conference this year is taken from Jesus' words in Mark
1:15, "The Kingdom of God is Near." Though our world is full of bad
news, we believe that Jesus' words are just as true today as the day he
first spoke them. We'll be studying the Bible in small groups, listening
to new and young messengers, as well as to some amazing life
testimonies. Time is also slated for recreation or discussion. - In order to ensure that we can all have fellowship together during meal times, etc, we will plan to all apply for a room at the Holiday Inn hotel.

You Will Receive Power!
Happy Easter! After Jesus rose again from the dead, he appeared to his disciples on several occasions. Right before his ascension, he gave them the world mission command: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).
The world mission command restores man’s mission. The world mission command reveals God’s broken shepherd’s heart for the perishing world. The world mission command reveals the faith of the risen Christ. The world mission is possible by the power of the Holy Spirit. Without being empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can’t be effective witnesses of Jesus. May the Holy Spirit empower us to be Jesus' witnesses where we are and make us powerful witnesses for the risen Christ. We’d like to invite you to our Easter Bible Conference 2010, April 9-11 (Fri-Sun) at the UWM Union. There will be praise and worship, group Bible studies, gospel messages, testimonies, fellowship, and much more. Please join us! Location: Room W191 of the UWM Union at 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd., Milwaukee, WICheck out these pages to find recordings from the conference:The files attached below provide the invitation card, a program and Scripture memorization. | |
