Milwaukee HomeSchool Group is proud to thank our supporters
Mike DeLonay for donating $250.00 towards the purchase of our laptops. We will now be able to have our Microsoft class and use all our educational CDs that were donated this past year.
Christopher Hood for donating his time, talents, and educational CDs. These materials have been added to our resource center and give our families more educational material in the language arts and math area for children to practice. The laptops now have plenty of educational websites for our families and other resources to use for their home schooling curriculum. St. Jacobi Lutheran School for donating 4 boxes full of science books, CDs and other materials. This will help our families to keep on track with their science curriculum and give them ideas for experiments to use in our science lab. Two private donors, who wish to stay anonymous. The first donated a matching fund for membership this fall and spring semester. This raised $270.00. This first donor also added funds that totaled $500.00. The second donated $250.00 towards two classes that were not to the minimum requirement of four students. This helped us not have to cancel any of our classes for our Spring semester. Salem Ev. Lutheran Church for donation of our space, snacks, and other materials that helps lessen our burden for cost for our families. This helps us to charge less for our home schooling classes. It also is a great location being right in the heart of the east side of Milwaukee and right across the street from the east library. Please visit their website to see what else Salem has to offer the community. Thanks to our kind supporters of the MHSG to make our first year a huge success!
Donations are still needed to keep MHSG growing stronger every year We can use many things to keep our homeschool group running and become even a bigger success. MHSG doubled within one year and home schooling is a growing trend of 7-12% per year in the last decade. We can use equipment as well as financial donations to add to our educational equipment and help our resource center have more valuable educational equipment for our homeschooling families. A wish list: musical instruments, science equipment, and a wireless copier/printer to name a few items. If you would like to donate a gift please contact me. And thank you in advance for thinking of the MHSG and our educational goals to help our children become better citizens for our city and country. |
