Assorted Other Writings

I have occasionally guest-blogged for Randy Crane's Urban Planning Research. Those posts can be found here and here.

In 2006 Save Our Forests and Ranch Lands, an environmental group in San Diego County, asked me to review the parking analysis in the Environmental Impact Report for the proposed redevelopment of downtown San Diego. My memo to the group is here

From 2005 to 2007 I was a contributing writer and book reviewer for the New York Press.  A series of short articles that I wrote for the Press opposing public subsidies for a new stadium for the New York Jets can be found here, here and here

In 2005 I served as the editor of Critical Planning, UCLA's planning journal. My introduction to the 2005 issue is here.

An article I wrote on parking and traffic congestion for Nantucket magazine can be found here (a long time ago I lived and worked as a planner on Nantucket, which is how the article came about.)
