DIRECTIONS TO BELOIT COLLEGE FROM CHICAGO: 1) Take Interstate 90 (the Northwest Tollway) past Rockford and continue towards Madison, WI. (Construction on I-90 near Beloit is finished, but if there are slow-ups, see detour around Rockford below.) 2) Just north of the Illinois – Wisconsin border, get off at exit #1 South Beloit at routes 75 & 51 and at the top of the ramp turn left (west) onto Gardner Street (= Hwy 51 = Rte 75). 3) Go west about 1.5 miles to Park Avenue, the first stoplight past the Ramada Inn. 4) Turn right (north) onto Park Avenue. Go north on Park Avenue about 10 blocks to Woodward Avenue, two blocks beyond where Park becomes a divided street (boulevard). 5) Turn left (west) onto Woodward Avenue. Go one block west on Woodward to Church Street. Continue west on Woodward half a block past Church St. to the first driveway on the left (which will be marked with a sign). 6) Turn left into the driveway. This leads into a parking area. Maurer Link, the connecting space between Maurer and Aldrich Halls, where check-in will be held, is on your left. Cars may be left in this parking lot throughout the weekend. Optional detour around Rockford in case of slow-ups there: 1) Exit at State Street and go right (west) OR drive 3 miles further and exit at Riverside and go left (also west) 2) Turn right on Perryville Rd (you'll be on this for awhile) 3) Turn left at Rt. 173 4) Turn right on Rt. 251 (take this to So. Beloit) 5) Turn left on Gardner (at the Ramada Inn corner) 6) Turn right onto Park Ave. (first stop light) 7) Turn left on Woodward Ave. to our driveway as in #6 above FROM MILWAUKEE: 1) Take I‐43 southwest, past the intersection with I‐90, continuing into Beloit on Rte 81 (a continuation of I‐43) = Milwaukee Road 2) Continue on Hwy 81 around the curve to the right after the railroad tracks (White Avenue/Hwy 81) 3) Turn left on Park Avenue (the first stoplight after crossing Harrison) 4) Turn right on Woodward (first right) 5) Go 1½ blocks past Church St. and turn left into the college's parking lot – see #6 above. (Alternatively, you can go south on I-90 to the state line exit and follow directions in the set from Chicago above). FROM MADISON: 1) Drive south on I-90 past Janesville. Take Exit 185A "Beloit College" Rte 81=Milwaukee Road (a continuation of I-43). Continue from #2 in the directions from Milwaukee, above.
