Mrs. Domashinski is a graduate of Moravian College, in Bethlehem, PA, a private Christian liberal arts college. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a double concentration in Jazz Piano Performance and Education, minoring in Clarinet and Classical Piano. Her Junior and Senior recitals included repertoire ranging from Bill Evans' Waltz for Debby to Brahms' Waltzes on the Piano and the Poulenc Sonata on the Clarinet. She has earned her Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College as well.
A "Jill" of all trades, she has taught music in the public schools in NJ for 12 years. She has taught "everything but strings."
She is also a member of the National Association for Music Education(NAfME formerly MENC) and their State and Local affiliates, NJ Music Educator's Association (NJMEA) and the Central Jersey Music Educator's Association (CJMEA). It was her participation in these groups as a student and as a tutor to her much more musically gifted younger sister that inspired her to answer the call to become a music teacher.
In addition to her rich professional experience, her greatest works of art are her two children. Mrs. Domashinski has been married since 2003 and has a bright and beautiful daughter and son. Becoming a mother has taught her many things, especially the gift that each child brings to those who have the privilege of being their caregiver. |
