The qualifying tournament a team attends determines which championship tournament it can advance to. Teams can only attend one Championship tournament. At the qualifying tournaments, a total overall score will be computed for each team according to the following weights: 1/3 Project Judging, 1/3 Core Values Judging, 1/6 Robot Judging, 1/6 Robot Performance Starting in 2010, the following policy will no longer be used in Michigan at qualifying tournaments: The team with the highest single robot match score on the field automatically advances. These qualifying tournaments will advance teams to the White Lake Championship Tournament
These qualifying tournaments will advance teams to the Genesee County/Flint Championship Tournament
