She

She knows where you live,

Where you're weak and why.

With legs long and naked

She hunts you home where you

Kneel sucking dust from the floor.

Slipping through the mail slot

The keyhole,

The screen door, the drain,

Crawling the stairs like arson’s breath

Finding you in the closet,

Beneath your dresser,

Under the bed.

She knows the

The strings and valves where you cry.

She's got daggers and jewels

And the monster in her eye.
