I am an Associate Professor of Theological Studies at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. I have a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Birmingham in the U.K., and I have several years' experience in college and seminary and church ministry settings. I am the author of The Beginning and the End (Cascade, 2011), From Resurrection to New Creation (Cascade, 2010) and Discerning the 'Word of the Lord' (T. & T. Clark, 2009), co-editor of The Sacred Text (Gorgias, 2010), and I have published several articles, essays, and reviews in academic journals and Christian periodicals. I have also blogged at the stuff of earth, and some of that material is available here.

 

I am married to Larissa and we have four young children. In addition to the delights of being a husband and father and the joys of teaching and writing, I enjoy walking, reading, music, and sports: strolling around campus or hiking in ravines, sitting with a good book and a cup of dark roast coffee, playing my violin or listening to Bach, and cheering on the Calgary Flames in a country which doesn't even know they exist.
