M. Ilhan Akbas is interested in various research topics in both wired and wireless communication and networking. Currently, his research focuses on routing in wireless sensor and actor networks and localization of nodes in ad hoc networks. His other research interests are network theory, tactical networks, LVC simulation, HLA systems, clustering algorithms, topology control, complex and social networks, local algorithms, self-organizing systems and small-world networks.
