VOLUNTEERISM

Business volunteers are important partners to the success of Mandeville Project Graduation. One area of need is direct hands-on support. Whether your business has a corporate volunteer program or just individual participation, you can become involved. Individuals from the business world working with MPG bring their own “skill set” to improve our activities. All through the calendar year, MPG holds several fundraising events, building party sets / decorations, and soliciting support from others. Also, beginning on the weekend before graduation and continuing through the day after the party we gather community and corporate volunteers to help with pre-party set-up, to work the actual overnight party and then to support post-party take-down.

 SPONSORSHIP

Sponsorships from local businesses and corporate headquarters are the backbone of monetary funding for Mandeville Project Graduation. Through monetary gifts, MPG rents and pays for the party activities, entertainment, student raffle gifts and door prizes. This money is invested into the event. The Seniors are wowed by the event itself and are given a lasting memory with their Senior class. Parents and the community know that Graduation night is a safe, drug and alcohol-free night for our kids to celebrate their accomplishment. On graduation night, when most extended families are gathered together to celebrate, Emergency Responders don’t have to contact that family with heart-breaking news.

Our goal is a safe, fun experience for every family.

Sponsorship not only means monetary donations but also goods and services. Many local sponsors share what they have to create Mandeville Project Graduation. From helium for the balloons to scissor-lifts to put up the decorations, businesses help to cut costs. Merchandise and gift-cards support student prizes. Food trays, drinks and ice cream prepared and donated keep the kids fueled for all the activities. Entertainment through music, dance, game activities and more give them the excitement factor to burn off energy. Each party component needs support through merchandise, goods or services businesses can offer. We are proud to have community involvement, without which, MPG could not happen.
