Kscan2pdf is a simple GUI interface for KDE / Kommander to quickly and easily scan multiple pages via an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and convert them into PDF format.

Though this started as a simple app to speed up some work related tasks for me, I've decided to throw it out there for the benefit of all who might need it. This is the first release of what will most likely be a work in progress.  With new options and features still to be determined. Please let me know about any successes/failures with other hardware/software versions, as well as any suggestions for future versions.

Requirements:

• KDE 
• Kommander 
• scanimage (part of the SANE packages, tested against version 1.0.17)
• convert (part of ImageMagick packages, tested against version 6.2.4)
• ps2pdf13 (part of GhostScript packages, tested against version 8.15.2)
• Scanner w/ ADF supported by SANE. 

Usage:

$kmdr-executer Kscan2pdf-v0.1.1.kmdr 

To Do: 

• Package w/ install script, create menu entry.
• Check if chosen file exists/confirm overwriting.
• Add Options for all paper sizes supported by GhostScript.
• Add option to scan multiple pages via a flatbed scanner (non ADF).

• Changed scanimage batch count to start at 10 so documents over 9 pages won't be created out of order. 

v0.1 Release Notes: 

• Currently only supports scanning of and converting to "letter" size documents (8.5in.x11in.).
  
• Currently only uses default SANE device with ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) enabled.
• Currently supports options for 75,150,300,600 dpi. (Honestly anything over 300 dpi is too much for simple document storage.)
• Has only been tested against listed versions of required software and only with an HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-One.
• Currently has no error handling abilities. If your document feeder isn't loaded you will end up with a blank pdf file.
