I am a PhD candidate in Electrical Engineering department, U. of Washington, Seattle, WA. My advisor is Prof. Sumit Roy (at Funlab); and I am working on applications of Network Coding and Compressed Sensing to wired and Wireless Networks.
As a research assistant of Prof. Neal Patwari, I worked for a year at U. of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT. We developed an 802.11b channel sounder using GNURadio which received significant interest from software defined radio (SDR) and channel measurements community.
I received my M.Sc. degree in Signal Processing and Communication Systems from Electrical Engineering department at University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. I worked on multimedia streaming over Peer-to-Peer networks as my MSc thesis under the supervision of Prof. Nasiri and Prof. Pakravan. My bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering is from Isfahan University of technology, Isfahan, Iran. Prof. Sadri was my supervisor while I was working on implementation of G.729 (ITU-T standard) on TMS320C31 (TI DSP).
