Field Training Jump Start partners with diverse & prestigious mental health agencies to provide essential field training to its participants. Through the field work education, Jump Start Fellows gain knowledge and practical experience working with people who have mental illness. They observe the changing culture of mental health services and have opportunities to implement the training they learn in class. Field placements span a variety of work environments including homeless shelters, employment services, residential treatment and assertive community treatment teams.
