Greetings!

We are the Branch Heads for the Northern California Chapter of the Mediterranean Garden Society and we look forward to providing interesting events for our members to attend.

For members who receive our newsletter via e-mail, please keep us up to date if your e-mail address changes.

If you receive the newsletter via regular mail, we encourage you to provide us with your email address in order for us to deliver the newsletter and infrequent announcements more quickly as well as reduce paper waste and our mailing expenses.

Please send your email address as well as first and last name to mgs_nc@yahoo.com. This will of course be kept completely private. Please be sure to add mgs_nc@yahoo.com to your safe senders list as well.

We've got a page on Facebook! Come visit us there at Mediterranean Garden Society - Northern California Branch; we'll keep the page updated with news about the chapter, and hope you'll participate in discussions about mediterranean climate gardening there as well.

Again, we are eager to provide rewarding experiences to our Northern California Branch members.

Upcoming Events:

  • Early Spring: Quinta Fay in Gustine
  • For those of you who drooled over the marvelous garden of Quinta Fay in the October issue of Pacific Horticulture (written by our own Kirsten Honeyman!), we're planning a trip to Gustine to see the garden for ourselves! We'll send out an email once we've worked out the details. We plan to go during March or April. Gustine is north of Highway 152 on Highway 33, just east of Interstate 5. It's near the Great Valley Grasslands State Park, too!

  • October 2012: Annual General Meeting in South Australia
Highlights of the AGM package include visits to the Royal Botanic Garden in Melbourne and Kangaroo Island, as well as visits to private gardens in the Melbourne and Adelaide area. Registration opens in early May and spaces will fill quickly.
  •
Garden wall window at Jardins de Alfabia, Mallorca
