DroidSec is an Android application which aims to enforce the security level of your handset. The idea behind this application is that most users don't give the right attention to the permission panel, shown by Android each time an application is installed. DroidSec will analyze the permission set of the installed application and will show a warning page in case it matches one of the predefined threats cases. DroidSec will provide a detailed descirption of each threat found and then will allow the user to uninstall or leave the application installed.
DroidSec provides also a whitelist for avoiding any warning for well known applications. The whitelist is community driven and any user can provide suggestions.
DroidSec is a free application and can be downloaded form the Android Market.
