Hello, everybody. My name is Cher Armstrong. I am a fourth-year student at Stony Brook University, which is located on Long Island's North Shore about 90 minutes east of New York City. My hometown is a location on the East End named Riverhead; I graduated from Riverhead High School in 2005.
I major in Secondary Education and English. I am very fond of sports, as well as the Middle Ages and fantasy literature. I run for the university cross-country/track team, write for a campus newspaper called Statesman, and am also a member of the English Honor Society Alpha Nu Zeta. I am president of the Library Club, B.A.S.I.C., and the Environmental Club.
This web site consists of the wide array of projects completed for Professor Michael LoMonico's course, "Performance and Technology in the Classroom," aimed at students in the Professional Education Program for English at Stony Brook. In this course, my classmates and I participated in many useful activities and projects that gave us a unique insight into the immense learning gained from these methods. We were exposed to a wide array of activities we had never encountered during our own careers in high school, and thus could not imagine their potential until we carried out these innovative forms of classwork for ourselves.
