Student-Produced Videos:  Jeff Schmidt.  Central County Occupational Center students use video production and journalism to learn technology, marketing, and communication skills.

Past in Present: Thu Ngo, Michael Cummins, Frank Castro:  Students learn about identity and culture, and how those two ideas are intertwined and inform one another.

Collaborative Vocabulary Building:  Matthew Phillips:  In this project, the kids can work in groups to create a collaborative set of slides covering vocabulary. Each has a role. One types the words, one adds the definitions, one writes the sentences, one adds the media. we start it and do one in class, then they finish it that night and we look at it the day before the quiz.

Interactive Current Events: Sophia Caramagno, Mountain View High School.  Teacher annotates a series of websites with comments and questions by/for students.

People Who Make A Difference:  Melissa Taylor-Salvador:  Students research and share their findings and feelings about historical African Americans.

Japanese-American Cultural Exchange:  Rushton Hurley.  High School students in Santa Clara and Nagasaki Japan exchange pictures, commentary, and understanding regarding their cultures and experiences.

Fifth Grade Math Quest:  Linda Bauld.  Tapping into student talent and knowledge to create lessons yields powerful learning and increased motivation and confidence in math.

Student-Created Presentation on "The Role of the Church in Medieval Times":  Ethan Cheever, Ravenswood School District.  Students create summary presentations for middle school Social Studies class.

Citizens of Humanity: Lesley Muller, Saint Francis High School.  Each student will adopt one country in either Africa or Asia and become an expert in the country's history and current issues over the course of the semester. Through the use of Blogger, PowerPoint, and a choice of other media, students will not only demonstrate for the teacher, but also publish for the community, the knowledge that they gain about their country.
