Minds to Science   
            
The Science Center is designed to inspire preschool and 1st and 2nd grade students through the use of exhibits with hands-on  interaction. Our 1959 airstream tradewind travels to area schools in Upstate South Carolina. We  are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide learning tools for the teachers in our area.

  History

The Mercury7 Science Center Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of South Carolina
in October 2004.  On November 4th 2005 the Internal Revenue Service officially recognized the center as a public charity (link).

The officers of the organization are Scott Bass, President, Hunt Teague, Vice President and Kelly Harris, Secretary. The Mercury7 Science Center has no compensated employees, The centers work is carried out by volunteers and it’s operating budget is provided through public support.
