Latest email was to announce our upcoming work days on Saturday, May 12 from 2 PM - 4 PM for sign work and trail maintenance and Sunday, May 13 from 10 AM - 12 noon.

Welcome to the home of Menomonie Area Mountain Bike Association (MAMBA).

We are on the Wisconsin State Bicycle map!

The MAMBA Board met on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 and but together goals for 2012 and outlined a presentation to the Facilities Committee.

The MAMBA board agreed to communicate to the committee that we created and approved by-laws, elected a board and have the following goals for 2012:

  • IMBA Membership for MAMBA
  • Sign and maps for the trailhead at Menomin Park
  • Earth Day Event with community groups, businesses, schools, and university Friday, April 20, 2012, Rain day planned for Monday, April 23, 2012
  • Maintenance of existing trails
  • Plan and execute building of two new trails
  • Work with DNR and WBF for other trail opportunities in the area (Hoffman Hills master plan update)

 The presentation to the committee also includes requests for:

  • Approval to install new sign (approx. 4’x8’)at Menomin Park near or at where original sign was located
  • Look at improved access road to the park
  • Increased marketing and communication of trails at the park

The trails at Menomin Park are open with no trail fee or park fee.
 
While there are no fees to ride at Menomin Park, please consider volunteering when you can.
Our goal is to have fun, and leave the park better than we found it.
M.A.M.B.A. is a purely volunteer organization, there are no dues or club treasury.  All trail building tools and supplies are donated.
   

 
How To Find Menomin Park:
From downtown Menomonie and the UW-Stout Campus
    Head east on Highway 12
    The intersection one block east of the Hospital is Red Cedar Street
    Turn left (North) on Red Cedar Street
    Continue through three turns, Red Cedar Street becomes Domain Drive. 
    Menomin Park is on the left (North). Take the gravel driveway to the parking lot.
From Interstate 94
    Exit onto Highway B south, this is Exit 45.
    Turn right at the stop light.
    Turn left at the stop sign for Stokke Parkway.
    Turn right onto Domain Drive.  Menomin Park is on the right (North).   Take the gravel driveway to the parking lot.
