We are pleased to invite you to Biomaterials Day 2012 in Memphis, TN on February 17, 2012!

This one day symposium will showcase:

• Keynote address by Dr. Buddy Ratner who will talk about the evolution in the use of biomaterials over the past few decades and future obstacles that lie ahead
• Panel discussion with clinicians on innovation and clinical needs of biomaterials
• Presentations and panel discussions by invited speakers from local companies such as Wright Medical, Smith & Nephew, Medtronic, ExtraOrtho, etc., on innovations in biomaterials design and research
• Oral sessions as well as poster presentations by graduate/undergraduate students, and industry professionals (Prizes will be awarded to students for oral and poster presentations both in the graduate and undergraduate category)
• Workshop on resume/CV writing, interviewing and networking skills by UoM Career Services
• Professional and career networking luncheon and reception with industry and academic representatives for all registered attendees

This event is sponsored by the Society for Biomaterials, the FedEx Institute of Technology and the Student Event Allocation at the University of Memphis and will be hosted by the University of Memphis in conjunction with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Vanderbilt University.
