The meeting will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch, 14 Great Falls Plaza, Auburn, Maine 04210.

 

Lane Mabbett, the State Historian, will conduct a workshop on the Membership and Application process for any applicants or aspiring applicants starting at 10:00 a.m.  This workshop is open to members and non-members, so all are welcome.  Lane will describe the application process, the requirements for evidence, how to find documentation, the steps in going through the approval process, and what resources are available to us.  As time allows, he will also try to answer questions about issues encountered in individual applications.

 

The luncheon will begin at noon.  Information on the menu, fee, and reservation process will be provided when available.   In the meantime, any reservation questions can be directed to  Carolyn L. F. Small at gsmall1@maine.rr.com (reservation questions only).

Directions from the South/Portland/Boston - Take Route 95 north to exit 75. Turn left onto Route 202 and go approximately 4.5 miles into downtown Auburn.  Turn right onto Hampshire Street and continue to the hotel.

 

Directions from the North/Augusta/Bangor - Take Route 95 south to exit 80/Lewiston.  Take a right off the exit and go over the overpass.  Take the second ramp on your right onto Route 196 west.  Follow Route 196 west a few miles to the end.  This route is also called Lisbon Street.  At the end of Lisbon Street, take a left onto Main Street and go over the bridge of the Androscoggin River.  Take a right at the first light into the Great Falls Plaza and continue to the hotel.
