The steps to joining our organization: 

If you have documentation that leads you to believe you may be descended from a passenger on the Mayflower voyage of 1620 that terminated on the shores of New England at Plymouth, you may be eligible to join the Society.  Any person able to document his/her lineal descent from one or more of the Mayflower passengers is eligible to apply for membership in the Society.

Fill-in the Proposed Application Review Form. Download the form, fill it out and email or mail it in, links to download copies are provided below. This provides a synopsis of your lineage from the Mayflower passenger to you, including full names of spouses.  The form allows you to submit your synopsis directly to the Maine Society Historian via E-mail and print a copy for your reference (or manual completion). After review of your synopsis our Historian will contact you to complete the next step, the Preliminary Application. (mailing information)

Step Three - Submit a Completed Worksheet

Once the Society State Historian receives your Preliminary Application and check they will either mail or e-mail you a Worksheet and instructions. After you return the Worksheet, our Historian will review it and advise you if there is anything lacking.
 
When everything seems to be in order, the Historian will prepare the final Application and mail it to you for your review and signature. When the signed final Application is received by our Historian, they will forward it, with your documentation, to the Historian General of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants.

 
If and when approved and elected, you will receive both a Maine membership number and General Society membership number, and will be contacted by our society shortly thereafter. 

Keep in mind, this process often takes many months to complete.
