My name is Melissa Payne, and I have recently embarked on a career as a School Media Specialist. Although this is my first year as a Media Specialist, I spent seven years as a K-8 classroom teacher (ESL and German).

I am honored to have received the 2008  Goen-Sloan Scholarship from GAIT. In addition to my membership in GAIT, I am also a member of GLMA and PAGE.

In my free time I enjoy reading, photography, music, and exploring new places both inside and out of Georgia.
