How did you become a wellness coach?

I started out when I was six, when I decided to be an astronaut-veterinarian-ballerina.  Along the way I grew committed to the scientific method, gained and lost 70 pregnancy pounds, built the first earthship eco-home in Virginia, lived with uncompromising commitment to joy, and earned a Master of Public Health from Eastern Virginia Medical School. 

About three years ago I noticed that my inbox was full of weight loss related questions, requests for help finding providers and services, and correspondence seeking my thoughts and input on solving challenging situations.  Answering those emails was a wonderful part of my day.

I network with scientists, anarchists, commentators, students, greenies, physicians, and professors from all over the world.  I travel.  I devote time to my marriage.  I volunteer.  I share 100 waking hours with my children every week. I learn from the courageous and inspiring actions of my clients.  And I struggle daily to balance my being happy with my being productive, and still get the laundry done.  Gracefully.
