ENVS 330: Situating Environmental Problems and Solutions

OVERVIEW OF CLASS: This year at Lewis and Clark College, the Environmental Studies Class 330 has been workingtowards understanding and situating environmental problems and solutions. With insight from scholarly readings, professor teachings, and from fellow classmates situated research, we worked to advance our skills of environmental analysis by situating certain problems and solutions in time, space, and biophysical/human contexts. As an upper division class, ENVS 330 works to advance our technological skills using computer software such as ARCgis and PSAW to analyze topics.
ENVS 330 SYNTHESIS AND THESIS PROSPECTUS FINAL PAPER In this link you will find a paper I wrote for my ENVS 330 class at the end of the semester. The paper summarizes what I learned in class by correctly situating and analyzing different environmental problems and solutions. In addition to the class synthesis I discuss how this class and the one prior to it (ENVS 220-ENvironmental Analysis) can help me to answer my senior thesis questions.
