About me

I am an assistant professor of political science at the University of Connecticut. My research interests lie in the political economy of transition and emerging economies. My current research focuses on land property rights and their impact on rural governance and development in China. I received my Ph.D. in political science and M.Sc in agricultural and applied economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Prior to joining UConn, I was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard's Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies.
