Before we begin, a note.  I create my tags in Photoshop, and that's the program this tutorial is written for.  However, I use tutorials written for PSP quite often, so I know it's pretty easy to convert the steps from one to another.  Give it a shot!

Let's begin!

Make sure you've installed the plugins before you open Photoshop!

Open a new canvas 600x600.  Flood fill white.

Missy includes a .psd format of most of her templates.  Hooray, Missy!  Open the template, then move all the layers except background, large rectangle, and copyright into your new canvas.

Open a paper from the kit, preferrably a lighter, more neutral one.  Resize to 600x600 and drag and drop into your canvas.  Position above the "X" layer and right click on the paper in the layers palette --> create clipping mask.  Once you're happy, ctrl+e to flatten. Add an inner shadow.

Open the close-up provided with the tube (or whatever larger tube of choice you're using).  Resize, and drag and drop it into your canvas.  For this Mark Wasyl tube, I duplicated the closeup 4 times to get a darker look, then flattened the duplications into one layer and I flipped it.

Position the larger tube above the X layer.  Right click on the tube in the layers palette --> create clipping mask.  Once you're happy, ctrl+e to flatten.

Open a darker paper from the kit.  Resize to 600x600, and drag and drop into your canvas.  Position above the large circle layer and create a clipping mask.  Flatten, then duplicate the layer.  Add a drop shadow to the top circle layer.

On the bottom circle layer, go to Filter --> Blur --> Gaussian Blur 10.  Next, Filter --> Cybia --> ScreenWorks --> Boxed Dot on the default settings.

Drag and drop your smaller tube into your canvas.  Add a drop shadow and outer glow #cc181f.

Open the sequins from the kit, and drag and drop into your canvas.  I erased a few on the edge so it didn't look so square.

Open 3 hearts from the kit.  Resize each one, and drag and drop into your canvas.  Add outer glow #cc181f and a drop shadow to each one.  Position them behind the "X" layer.

For the name, choose a paper from the kit and go to Edit --> Define Pattern.  Type your name into your canvas, and then add a pattern overlay using the pattern you just created.

Open another paper in a contrasting color from the kit.  Resize to 400x400, and drag and drop into your canvas.  Ctrl+left click on your name in the layers palette to select it --> Select --> Expand by 3 --> Invert, and with the paper layer highlighted in the layers palette, Delete.

Add a 2px stroke in a color from the name, and an outer glow #cc181f.

Open the staples provided in the kit; resize; drag and drop into your canvas.  Position, then duplicate and position the copies.

Open your word art of choice.  Resize if necessary, and position on your tag.  Add an inner shadow and color overlay #cc181f.

Add your copyright info and signature of choice, crop, resize, flatten, save, you're done!

I'd love to see your results!  Feel free to email me at mcw717@gmail.com.  Make sure you put something like "tut results" in the subject line so I know you're not trying to sell me the best pi11s from a Canadian pharmacy.
