Supplies needed Photoshop CS3 (or any version) or PSP Plugin to make PSP files work in Photoshop HERE Tube of choice Scrap kit of choice; I'm using "Wild Thang" ©TammyKat Designs. You can purchase it at Pimp My Tags HERE. Before we begin, a note. I create my tags in Photoshop, and that's the program this tutorial is written for. However, I use tutorials written for PSP quite often, so I know it's pretty easy to convert the steps from one to another. Give it a shot! Let's begin! Make sure you've installed the plugin before you open Photoshop! Open a new canvas 600x600. Flood fill white. Open the 3 stitched star frames from the kit. Drag and drop each into your canvas, and resize using Scale. You want 3 different sizes; see my tag for reference. Add a drop 50%, 5, 5, 5 drop shadow to each one. Open 3 papers of choice. Drag and drop the first one into your canvas. Use your magic wand tool to select the inside of the first star frame. Select --> Expand by 1 --> Select --> Inverse. With the paper highlighted, hit delete. Repeat the above for the other 2 star frames. I then used the eraser to get rid of the very tips of the stars. Open the "good girl" and "bad girl" buttons from the kit. Resize, then drag and drop into your canvas. Add a 50%, 5, 0, 5 drop shadow to each one, and position. Open your tube. Resize if necessary, then drag and drop into your canvas. Add 75% drop shadow, and outer glow #bf628e. Open another paper from the kit, and go to Edit --> Define pattern. Close this paper; you're done with it. Add your name to you canvas, and use a pattern overlay that you just created. If you need to, adjust the size scale that it looks the way you want. Also add the same drop shadow as your tube and a 2px stroke #f6d0da. Add your signature of choice and copyright info, then flatten, crop, resize and save. You're done! Very quick and easy! I'd love to see your results! If you can't post here, feel free to email me at mcw717@gmail.com. Make sure you put something like "tut results" in the subject line so I know you're not trying to lure me to your porn site. Written by Meg Whitlock on December 26, 2008. Any resemblance to another tut is completely coincidental and unintentional. |
