Before we begin, a note.  I create my tags in Photoshop, and that's the program this tutorial is written for.  However, I use tutorials written for PSP quite often, so I know it's pretty easy to convert the steps from one to another.  Give it a shot!

Let's Begin!

Make sure you've installed the plugins before you open Photoshop!

Open a new canvas 600x600.  Flood fill white.

Missy includes a .psd format of most of her templates.  Hooray, Missy!  Open the template, then move all the layers except background and copyright into your new canvas.

Open a paper from the kit, pref. a darker one.  Resize to 400x400.  Drag and drop into your new canvas.  Position it above the back circle layer, right click on the paper in the layers palette --> create clipping mask.  Once you're happy, ctrl+e to flatten.  Add a drop shadow.

Repeat with different papers for the next 2 circles and the "skull background" layer.  Do not add a drop shadow to the skull background!

Add a drop shadow and outer glow #b23861 to the "skull frame" and "word art" layers.

Open your tubes.  Position one as you like it above the "skull background" layer.  Use your magic wand tool to select the skull background, then Select --> Modify --> Expand by 3 --> Select --> Inverse.  With the tube layer highlighted, hit delete.  Change the tube's layer style to Luminosity.

Position your other tube in front of the template and add a drop shadow.

Open a paper from the kit to use for the word art.  Go to Edit --> Define pattern --> Ok.  Close the paper.

Create a new layer directly above the word art, then flood fill with your new pattern.  Create a clipping mask as you did before, then ctrl+e to flatten.

Open Chelle's mask, and go to Filter --> Transparency --> Eliminate black --> Layer --> Matting --> Remove black matte.  Drag and drop the mask into your canvas.

Open a paper from the kit, resize to 600x600, and drag and drop it above the mask.  Create a clipping mask as you
did before, then ctrl+e to flatten.

Open the pink glitter in the kit and resize to 400x400.  Drag and drop into your canvas, then rotate until it's positioned as you like it.  I used the eraser to get rid of some straggling bits of glitter.

Next open one of the glitter stars in the kit.  Resize to 200x194 and drag and drop.  Refer to my tag for positioning.

The name is black with bevel and emboss, drop shadow, and a 2px stroke #b23861.

Add your copyright info and signature of choice, then flatten, resize, and save.  You're done!

I'd love to see your results!  Feel free to email me at mcw717@gmail.com.  Make sure you put something like "tut results" in the subject line so I know you're not trying to sell me a dip1oma.
