Unpacking the N400 effect with MEG Many lexical and sentential manipulations result in modulations of the ERP component known as the N400, but the functional interpretation of these 'N400 effects' is still an object of much disagreement. If N400 effects reflect a combination of multiple functionally distinct sources, the increased spatial resolution of MEG may help to separate them. I will present data from MEG and simultaneously recorded EEG/MEG that speak to these issues. |
