I didn’t get around to do that at the time - due to being a slow, lazy birdie who was too busy playing with Johnny in the shop … *blushes embarrassed * .. BUT now he’s out this afternoon with Jack and Bon Bon doing only the goddesses know what (SMILING APHRODITE IN THE BACKGROUND: Yeah, I know *o* But I ain’t telling *O* You just have to wait and see, little honey hen -o* ) Ehm … I will try and sorta list the movies I like *O*
… you sure you’ll not give me a little hint? No need to pout, I am sure! … although you look just as cute as your son when doing that *O* Yes, yes, I will write the Leporello list *O*
Of all the men I loved before your darling son, Mumsy -o*
MUMSY SITTING HERSELF DOWN BESIDE HER HEN-IN-LAW: And then some, yes *o* But just as long as you save the last dance for Johnny I ain’t worried *o* That I do !!!
O.K. - let’s see … Maybe we should call this Around The World in 80 Flicks or something like that -o*
First of all I have rejoiced and - and BAWLED every time Clarence visits Bedford Falls in Danish TV and he does that at Christmas *o* That is, I love It’s a Wonderful Life! … yes, I know it is corny and as sentimental as - but so am I *O*
LAUGHING MUMSY: The girlie who positively adore Arsenic and Old Lace is corny and sentime-he-he-hental *O* ? Shush now, missy *o*
Yes, I do love Mortimer and his wonderful aunts - and the original Odd Couple; Raymond Massey and Peter Lorre *O* That whole silly world of genteel murder and mayhem *O*
… except that one time when Johnny decided to run up the stairs roaring “Chaaaaaaaaaaarge !!!” - just ‘cause I had teasing him by claiming he’s also the son of an old sea cook - at a fancy London Hotel … The Bertram’s, you know?
You should have seen aunt Minerva‘s face - luckily aunt Jane was there too and giggled and that broke the iceberg that could have sunk not only Titanic, but also Cutty Sark, Daydream, the Pearl and tshee-hee-hee *O*
THOUGHTFUL MUMSY: But Johnny is in a way … A son of an old sea cook, savvy? Yes, I know *o* Your darling boy is Hermes’ dear lad - son, I mean *o* But Jack Sparrow I am convinced is the son or grandson of Barbeque - Long John Silver and he is after all an excellent cook, little honey hen *o* … yes, Garfield positively swears by his lasagne - that is, when Grandie ain’t around *o* She’ll not even allow pussycats to swear *O*
Ehm - where was I?
Now you mention pirate movies I of course love to see those *o* But can’t quite remember any titles at the moment … There is one with the ever athletic Gene Kelly - or am I thinking of his version of d’Artagnan? Closely related to Asterix in my imagination -o*
And there is also another great pirate movie with - Errol Flynn I believe *o* - where they use the trick with the upturned boat that Jack and Will used in the first Pirates of-movie *O*
But, Mumsy - how do one find one’s way across the harbour when inside that boat? I have asked Jack but he won’t tell …
BROADLY SMILING MUMSY: Oh, nothing as disappointed as - now you’re pouting, pet *o* Well … I don’t know either - but could we walk in the direction of Casablanca now we are down here -o* ? |
