Mentors are a critical component of our Academy. Mentors are adults who are willing to share their experiences and support students as they explore and work toward their career goals. Mentor Requirements: - A desire to make a difference in a student's life
- 4 one-hour mentor student meetings
- 1 student visit to your workplace
- Background check and TB clearance
- Monthly email exchanges with student
- Mentor orientation
Steps to becoming a MedTech Mentor:- Mentor Application and Profile. This online form will take up to 20 minutes for you to complete. The information you provide will be used to pair you with your student.
- Volunteer Paperwork. All mentors will have access to minor students and must have a background check performed prior to beginning your mentorship.
- Mentor Orientation. All mentors must attend an in-person orientation at San Diego High.
- Mentor-Student Pairings. Students are paired with mentors based on the information provided on interest forms.
