Hello, my name is William Carpenter and I was a member of project team #3. This is a copy of most of my communications relating to the YouthMap project. There are several phone calls and Facebook messages that aren't mentioned here, but you should be able to get the gist of how I was communicating with the survey participants. If you have any questions, you can contact me at:Oh, and thank you for participating!New England Conservatory of Music:
Sigh, so apparently I am going to have to call Student Services or contact the senators via Facebook (DONE).12:36 PM 11/21/2008 FACEBOOK MESSAGE TO: Denexxel Domingo, Soonmee Kwon, and Kathryn Salfelder (it took me a few minutes to find her listed under KATE Salfelder... sigh...) SUBJECT: Tufts University Networking Study Hello, My name is William Carpenter and I, along with other students at Tufts University, am working on a project to build a network of relationships between schools in the Boston area. To find these relationships and connections, we need your input--your position as a student senator at the NEC makes this all the more important. It would be really helpful if you could take 3 or 4 minutes to complete this quick online survey: http://vovici.com/wsb.dll/s/2d2eg39343 If you're interested, more information about the project is displayed at the end of the survey. I really appreciate your help and please let me know if you have any questions! Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Will PS I'm sorry to contact you through Facebook, but your e-mail wasn't listed on the SGA section of the NEC website. I tired to contact someone named Colleen Bryant Palmer (Director of Student Life & Health Services?), but she hasn't responded. Thanks for your understanding. 8:20 PM 11/22/2008 FACEBOOK MESSAGE RESPONSE FROM: Kate Salfelder Hi Will, 4:08 PM 11/21/2008 FACEBOOK MESSAGE RESPONSE FROM: Soonmee Kwon Thanks for the message!!!

No response. Called again Nov 27. Elizabeth Claw was still unavailable. Called again on Dec 2, Elizabeth Claw was available... suggested that I might look elsewhere. Sigh... - a big Obama rally at BU last spring --> result was huge and awesomeness -- 20,000 people ish -- would definitely do again, though we didn't do much of the organization - a small Obama rally this fall with the state party -- I didn't go? I generally don't like working with them because they're not very efficient, would probably not do again - planning (failed) swing state trip to GA with Harvard Dems -- bummer it didn't work out because of failed funding but I LOVE working with the Harvard kids, would do again - worked with CDM on planning a CDM convention, went, continue to go, don't love it sorry this is rushed hope it's helpful! -Wm |
