This is the 16th place that Chris and I have lived in since we were married on June 30, 1984. We bought this house in the March 1999. And, as of the time that I'm writing this, we haven't moved in NINE YEARS!!!!! :-) When we bought our house, we knew that we'd have some work to do on it. Here is a collection of pictures that show the transformation of our "old" house into our "new" house... It happened during the Fall of 2007 - we got new windows (the kind that tilt-in for cleaning!) and new siding. This, of course, is after we had already gotten a new roof a couple years before and a new air conditioner just the previous summer. Then later, in December of that very same year, our furnace 'bit the dust' and we got a new furnace, too!!! Many thanks go out to Chris' uncle who helped with that badly-timed financial emergency! Oh, and I mustn't forget to tell you about the new water heater that we put in just a couple years after buying the place and, at the same time, Chris' dad helped him to install a water softener... So, you see, we really did get a "new" home very recently even though we didn't have to move this time to get it!!! :-)

Ah!! But you know what? A house is just a house. What makes a house a "HOME" is the people who live there and the love that they have for each other and for the friends who come to visit them from time to time...

Cari (short for "Caramel")

Butch and Cari are litter mates. They are foundlings who were rescued from the side of the road by our vet who nursed them to health and then gave them to us in Oct. 2006.
