 Reporting • Editing • Social Media • Web My writing career began shortly after enrolling at the University of Minnesota. I covered neighborhood activities for the university's award-winning Minnesota Daily, and this promptly led to an internship with the St. Paul, Minn.-based Pioneer Press.I was invited back to the Pioneer Press after graduation, and enjoyed excellent reporting opportunities during the divisive 2004 presidential election. Building on those experiences, I accepted an editing position in 2006 with Dolan Media—a growing news organization based in Minneapolis. In 2009, I returned to Milwaukee. I now serve as editor with the nonprofit International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans in Brookfield, Wis. I have participated in several media-related discussion panels for organizations such as the Legal Marketing Association. I am also a member of Association Media & Publishing and have mentored university students interested in media careers. |
