~Meet Mrs. McCollum~
 My name is Melissa McCollum and this is my tenth year teaching, but my second year teaching at FDES. This year is very special to me because it is my first year teaching SINGLE GENDER! I’ve taught 1stgrade, Reading for grades 1-6, and 2nd grade. I graduated from Indiana University (GO HOOSIERS) in 1999 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Reading. In 2002 I received my master’s in Elementary Education. I’m so happy to be at such a FINE, FINE school!

Shows: Criminal Minds, America’s Next Top Model Favorite Book: Any mystery book! Interests: I just love to read...I’m a big fan of James Patterson’s books! I recently finished the Twilight series. WOW...what a great storyline! I couldn’t put those books down!! I also enjoy spending time with my family...especially reading with my daughter, Camryn. Our daughter, Carsyn joined the family on January 7th. It has been so much fun watching the relationship develop between Camryn and her new sissy!
