Your e-portfolio homepage is the first space your visitors will see when they enter your site. It is your first impression, you have 15 seconds to grab the audience's attention and engage them to look further.

This is a great place to write your personal introduction.
  • Tell the reader a little about your personal journey that led you to your major. Describe why you choose your major and if you have a philosophy about the theories or methodologies your are studying.
  • Mention one or two of your program highlights, like personal research or publications, and how they have influenced your future aspirations.
  • Describe your academic and professional goals. What do you want to study as a postgraduate? Why do you want to study this? How you will contribute to the field?
You may also want to include a photo, preferably academic or field experience related. This could be a picture of you in the lab, or a picture of DNA (if that is relevant to your research). You want some sort of visual stimulation to draw them in.

Keep this short and simple, I suggest no more then 250 words. Remember you want to grab the audience's attention. You have the rest of your e-portfolio to WOW them with your experience.
