Using Google Tools:*Problems (opportunities)

1. You have a student body with few English speaking parents. It is your goal to try and include them as much as possible in the learning process of their child in your class. Once you find the appropriate tool try to make a sample. BTW, the parents speak either Polish, Icelandic or Spanish.

2. You want to find a way for students to submit their contact and school information to you electronically so it can easily go into your grading spreadsheet.

3. You want your students to find a classic work on a subject or work by a given author you'd like to cover in class. Then you'd like them to be able to see each other's selection and access it. And or, You'd like your students to pick a current topic (news issue) and follow it closely for reporting to class.

4. You'd like your students to have their own space on the web for commentary and conversation about what they are learning.

5. You'd like your students to have a keener sense of where they are in the world physically in relation to a distant setting of a book they are reading or a social studies issue they are studying.
6. Invent your own scenario and propose a solution using the Google tool set or any other Web 2.0 program. (You can do this twice, for two of your four).

Task

Your group is to find solutions to four of the scenarios above and build models and a Google presentation to presentation.  The process of how it gets done will be figured out by the two or three of you.
