Collection
Our collection is selected to meet the informational and recreational needs of the Maynard Community. It consists of:
If we don't have the material you're looking for in our collection, it can be requested from any of the Minuteman Network Libraries. In addition, the Reference staff can help you order material from outside the network.
Digital Collection
![]() The Digital Media Catalog (OverDrive) provides audiobooks and eBooks for free download to your computer or other devices. Click here to access and search OverDrive. You will find a Quick Start Guide, download assistance and a list of supported audio and eBook devices on the OverDrive site.
The library now has e-Readers available for checkout. You can view the contents of the Nook Color and Kindle Fire by searching the Minuteman catalog with the keywords "Nook" or "Kindle". Read more about the e-Readers here.
Computers and WiFi
There are 9 public computers with internet access on the second floor of the library. Computer sessions last either 30 or 60 minutes depending on the computer, but if no one is waiting you're welcome to renew your session. If you need to work on documents, bring a flash drive with you to save your files.
The library also has free wireless connection allowing you to work on your own laptop.
Reference Databases
The Minuteman Network, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and the Massachusetts Library System make a number of online databases available, including those listed below. Find out more about each database by clicking here.
These online references can be accessed at the library and from your home computer. Most require a library card number to log in.

Museum Passes
Thanks to the generous support of the Friends of the Library, we offer Museum passes allowing free or discounted admission to local attractions. A list of passes is available here or at the Circulation Desk. Passes can be reserved in person or by calling the library (x100).
Programs
The library provides free programs on a broad range of topics throughout the year, including our annual film series, Mystery Night and numerous author readings and signings. Authors who have visited recently include Elinor Lipman, Tom Perotta, Gregory Maguire, Andre Dubus III, Hank Phillipi Ryan and Julia Spencer-Fleming.
