Mayflower Sailing Club is the premier, dinghy only, sailing club in Plymouth. Our friendly, family run club is situated at the mouth of the river Plym, only a stone’s throw from Plymouth Sound. As a club we have much to offer from the young enthusiastic cadets to RYA training courses and competitive handicap club racing. The club house which looks up the Plym valley is open Friday evenings for a social drink and is available for private hire throughout the year.

Cadet sailing evenings take part on a Friday night throughout the summer and on Saturday mornings during the winter months. During the winter cadets are encouraged to attend theory sessions on a Friday evening to aid in the development of their skills.

Club racing is run on a Sunday afternoon and Tuesday evenings and is open to everyone wishing to race.

As a RYA recognised training centre we offer a wide range of sailing and power boat courses available to everyone using the various club boats.

Mayflower also hosts and runs many national and international sailing events to a world class level, such as the Contender worlds and solo nationals to name but a few. Our club also take an active role in the running of Port of Plymouth Regatta on a yearly basis.

Our year ahead is set to be varied and exciting with masses of activity on the water and in the bar. We would like invite any prospective new members to come and have a look round when the club is open and discover what we’re all about.
