I am currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT Kanpur. This space will be updated once I get it.

Areas of interest

Academic

As far a mechanical engineering goes, solid mechanics is my forte, or as close as it can come to being one.

Giving FEM a shot. Will be doing the M.Tech thesis under Prof. S. Basu.

 Non Academic

Been a passion for the longest time now. Used to change distros frequently but finally settled on Gentoo. Tried Debian recently and fell in love head over heals. Running both alternately on the box.

Books (click)

There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written or badly written - Oscar Wilde

The one aim I have in life is to read all the books worth reading ever written before I die. I wonder if they give literature in Hell. I mean they give it in jail and all.

In spite of several attempts by well meaning english instructors to turn me towards classical literature, science fiction remains my true aphrodisiac.

Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical. The four things I plan not to live without. ever. I ilsten to music constantly (yes, even while sleeping or studying). Tried learnign keyboard, guitar, table, flute... never got anywhere. I blame my genes. I request you to do the same.
