The MGOSC is a group of Air Force spouses stationed in historic Montgomery, Alabama. Dedicated to promoting the morale and welfare of the military family, the MGOSC offers its members many opportunities for social interaction with monthly programs and special activities, as well as opportunities to raise the quality of life both on the base and in the surrounding community. Thanks to the funds our volunteers raise at the Thrift Shop every month, we are proud to offer yearly scholarships to military children, as well as numerous donations to charitable causes, both military and civilian. We are making the most of our time here in Dixie, and know that in the process we will be leaving our base and community the better for our having been stationed here. So don't be a stranger - ya'll come on out and join us!

A Message From the President
 
Welcome to the MGOSC 2011 - 2012 year! I am so honored to lead this club. I have an excellent team on board, in fact all the board positions are filled! I told the board one of my mottos in life is to give 100% to something when you volunteer to take it on. As we each give our very best, we will be successful in taking this year's MGOSC to a new level! There are still ways you can get involved even if you are not on the board: the thrift shop, being a Point of Contact (POC) for one of our Special Activity groups or be a Blue Moon Volunteer which means we can call you when something pops up.

The MGOSC has a variety of themed monthly functions to socialize, meet up with old friends or simply make new ones, and discuss the business of our organization. We also have many ongoing "special activities" for the varying interests of our membership. These include (but are not limited to) bowling, book club, wine tasting, line dancing, bunko, mahjong, and many more.

The charitable is the other side of our club, where we earn approximately $ 40,000 a year to give to charities and scholarships; we are blessed with a well run and lucrative thrift shop. We need to be wise in who we support with the funds, and make sure we are encouraging our volunteers. Anytime you want to drop off treats please do so. They will always take donations and love for you to consign also!
