You will be able to find out about MAHE activities, area homeschooling resources, and important information about the legal side of homeschooling.

Maxwell Area Home Educators (MAHE) is a homeschool support group formed primarily to assist military homeschoolers on and around Maxwell AFB. Our members live in Montgomery, Prattville, and other local areas, as well as in base housing at Maxwell and Gunter Annex. We welcome homeschool families regardless of their reasons for homeschooling, philosophy, or method of instruction. MAHE is NOT a legal "church school", but a network of homeschoolers working together to assist and support one another. Whether you're new to homeschooling or a long-term homeschool parent looking to broaden your child's academic and social experience, you'll find MAHE has plenty to offer.

MAHE membership is free and open to any member of the military community who has base access to Maxwell AFB, AL. Whether or not you are a part of the military community, we hope you find this website useful. Your feedback to the Webmaster is greatly appreciated. Military community members are invited to use the "Contact Us" page to find e-mail addresses for MAHE members who will try to answer your questions about our group.

We offer classes and activities on and off base such as P.E., Bowling, Mom's Night Out, and Field Trips. More activities can be offered as people like you come forward to help coordinate. Our main mode of communication is through e-mail. No membership fee is required to join, but we do encourage active participation from our members.
