Max Levinson will perform Debussy's Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra as soloist with the Boston Conservatory Orchestra, Bruce Hangen, conductor, on Sunday, April 1 at 2pm. Max Levinson will perform twice on the "Schoolhouse Concert Series" in Los Olivos, California. On Friday, March 16, 8pm, Max Levinson will perform with violist Helen Callus, in a program to include works by Hindemith, Mendelssohn, and Bach. On Sunday, March 18, 2:30pm, Levinson will perform a piano recital including the Beethoven "Tempest" Sonata, Chopin Ballades #1 and #3, and Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition." Max Levinson will perform on a concert he organized at the Boston Conservatory featuring chamber music of Claude Debussy. The program will include both faculty and students of Boston Conservatory. Max Levinson will perform the Debussy Cello Sonata with Rhonda Rider and the Violin Sonata with Markus Placci. In addition, student groups will perform the Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp, and the String Quartet.
The concert has been organized as part of a celebration of Debussy's music, in honor of the 150th anniversary of his birth. On April 1, Max Levinson will perform as soloist with the Boston Conservatory Orchestra, Bruce Hangen, conductor, in the Debussy Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra, in Sanders Theatre, on the campus of Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.
The March 3 concert will be in Seully Hall at the Boston Conservatory at 8pm. Admission is free.

Max Levinson will perform at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, Ireland, on Thursday, February 2. The concert features seven of the previous winners of the Dublin International Piano Competition. Levinson was winner of this competition in 1997. Since then he has made numerous concert tours in Ireland, and served as television commentator for the live broadcast of the 2000 competition. On the program, Max Levinson will perform Gershwin's "Three Preludes" for solo piano, and a number of pieces for 7 pianos, including Dukas' "Sorcerer's Apprentice," Rossini "William Tell Overture," Rimsky-Korsakov "Flight of the Bumblebee" and more. Max Levinson will be performing Sunday, October 17 at the Rockport Opera House. The program consists of the Bach Viola da Gamba Sonata in D major; Beethoven Piano Quartet in E-flat major; and the Brahms Piano Trio #1 in B major. Max Levinson will perform with Marc Johnson and members of the Muir String Quartet, on a concert entitled "Chamber Music All-Stars." In addition, they will be coaching chamber music groups and giving master classes during a four-day residency in the Camden-Rockport-Rockland area. The concert is organized by Bay Chamber Concerts. Max Levinson is Artistic Director of the San Juan Chamber Music Festival, in Ouray County, Colorado. This year's concerts include: Friday, Sept 16: "Musical Travels", including the Beethoven Clarinet Trio, Piazzolla "Le Grand Tango," and solo piano music by Mozart and Debussy. Sunday, Sept 18: an all-Brahms program: Variations on an Original Theme in D major; Cello Sonata in E minor; and the Clarinet Trio in A minor.
