Welcome to the Art Class Website!!!! My name is Ms.Franckewich, and my goal is to make the art room a place where your child can strive to achieve their personal best. I teach students in Kindergarten through 8th grade! I want students to learn and experience different artistic mediums and styles, but most importantly have fun! The purpose of this website is to provide information for parents/guardians on what is happening in your child’s art class. Art is still an important subject—here's why: It's been proven that early exposure to visual art, music, or drama promotes activity in the brain. Art helps children understand other subjects much more clearly—from math and science, to language arts and geography. Participating in art activities helps children to gain the tools necessary for understanding human experience, adapting to and respecting others' ways of working and thinking, developing creative problem-solving skills, and communicating thoughts and ideas in a variety of ways. The Art program is based on the state of Florida’s Visual Arts Standards. I will give most of my attention to students who are in my room to learn. Every student has the right to work in a positive learning environment. I look forward to seeing what we will create this year in Art. Please feel free to contact me via E-Mail or through the school phone. Thank you all so much for logging on, I update this site frequently. ALL feedback is appreciated! Email: pattyf@dadeschools.net
